Caring

"For all your framing needs!"

Hanging Your Frame

Don't hang your artwork in direct sunlight (unless you use a Museum Glass), in damp areas, or in areas where the temperature or humidity fluctuates widely, such as bathrooms, porches, basements, or over radiators. Large pieces generally require two hooks to properly distribute the weight of the frame and glass.

Cleaning the Frame

Your frame needs no more than dusting with a soft lambs wool or feather duster, or a very soft cloth. Never rub, as the finish is quite delicate.

Cleaning the Glass

Don't spray the glass cleaner directly on the glass. Spray on a towel, and use the dampened towel to gently clean the glass. Better yet, remove the art from the wall and place it on a flat horizontal surface before wiping with the towel.

Checking the Hanging Hardware

Check occasionally your frame to make sure the screw eyes or mirror hangers are secure, and that the wire (for small pieces) has not become too loose or frayed. Also check that your wall hook is still secure, and that it is sufficient for the weight of the frame.

Transporting

Carry the art by the sides, not the wire, and never by the top. Place it in your car very carefully, and remove it promptly.
